Botanical art exhibition

This comes from UKCPS member, Val Hopkins:

The Gloucestershire Society for Botanical Illustration will be staging its Annual Exhibition at the Nature in Art Museum at Twigworth, near Gloucester, from March 26th - April 7th, 2013.

Quite a few of the regular contributors (myself included) use coloured pencils. We have no selection (other than availability of space and copyright checks) as we like to encourage beginners. The contents, therefore, range from the professional to the less accomplished. Nevertheless, people tell us the standard is still very high indeed.
Thanks,
Val

So if you would like to improve your techniques using graphite, pastel pencils, aquarelle pencils, or charcoal pencils, as well as coloured pencils, they would be delighted to give you a

Karen Couldon - Pencils For Sale!

This from Karen :--

Hi Everyone

I have been sorting out and have a few bundles of coloured pencils I no longer want.
My son is going to Kenya in July to refurbish ( build) a school and each pupil has to raise £1650. as part of his fundraising effort we are clearing out and "car booting".
These pencils are far too good to car boot, and probably wouldnt be appreciated anyway.
So, i have...
33 assorted colours prismacolor pencils
48 assorted colours Karisma pencils
40 assorted colours Karisma aquarelle pencils
59 assorted colours Stabilo aquatico pencils
88 assorted colours Lyra Rembrandt pencils
97 assorted colours Lyra Rembrandt aquarell pencils.
these are all sets or part of sets I have bought to try over the years before settling on my favourites that I use now. Most are virtually full length, although afew are 3/4 size.

Any reasonable donation considered, i was thinking about 25p + per pencil?? plus cost of postage, would rather send by special delivery, so they are trackable.
So please get in touch via email if you are interested in any of them.
Thanks
Karen

They would need to collect them from me (Ashburton). They would need to pay a acceptable offer for them they are all top quality, obviously they would need to feel they are getting a bargain. They would need to pay by cheque to?:- Help for Heroes.

Best wishes

Bev Lewis in Somerset

If anyone is in Somerset in the next week or two the might like to go and see Bev Lewis's lovely exhibition of animals at Hestercombe Gardens near Taunton. She is demonstrating CP on Saturday and Sunday lunch times. I'm sure she will be delighted to see you. The cafe is good too, and dogs are welcome if you want a walk in the lovely gardens.
